Adam Singer and I were recently chatting about a mix I did a while back – we generally agreed that it was probably the best mix I ever released on the net and still sounds good today.

I thought I’d make it available again. I will see if I can dig up a tracklisting for it. It is two hours long and moves from a dreamy and atmospheric beginning to some techy stuff, through the world of house, gets a bit frantic towards the end before settling into a nice smooth final 20 minutes.

4 Hours, No Filler

Currently finishing up a 4 hour (yes, that’s not a typo) mix that I’ll make available as soon as I’m convinced nothing like it has ever been done before, and anyone listens to it will immediately fall to their knees weeping tears of happiness, possibly dying in the process. Something like a musical version of ‘The Ring’ except no creepy little girls (although I have nothing against creepy little girls of course).

More details soon. It could end up being more than 4 hours. It will be as long as it needs to be. The entire first hour is not really dance music, and the entire mix includes things brand new, and things up to 10 years old. I’ll probably release the first 2 hours of it to a few friends soon.

Here’s the mix I did for desertfm.com, one that I like quite a bit. Truly a lot of stuff many or most haven’t heard, and it’s two full hours, so it really has a lot of development and an interesting ebb and flow.

I’m doing a special set for desertfm.com Wednesday night, the 14th of July. I believe the time is 8pm Mountain, which is 10pm Eastern, 7pm Pacific, and 3am UK time. Check their site tomorrow night for details. I’ve given out MP3 mixes online, but I’ve never been aired on any net-radio station til now, so it is a special 2 hour set. As is the norm for most of my sets, the music should be new to most people.

I also wrote up a special bio. I’ve made my feelings clear that most bios are boring and mundane, so I tried to make one fun to read. Check it out at their site, or I’ve duplicated it here if you want to just check it out here. You will hopefully not be disappointed.

I will make the set available on MP3 after it has aired.

Global DJ Broadcast

Sasha used ‘Snake’ for his Global DJ Broadcast set a couple weeks back. Very nice mix overall – I wasn’t aware that he was playing it, but since he used it on the radio show, I would assume he’s playing it out live. So if you see him on his Involver tour, maybe you’ll hear it live. You can also probably grab the full MP3 of his Global DJ Broadcast set at Djmixes2k. If you have bittorrent, and head to their bittorrent forums, there should be a link to grab the mix there.

It’s very cool to get so much play from a track that was actually composed about 2.5 years ago. Admittedly, it was only just recently released, but it shows I’m thinking a bit ahead of the curve musically. Times have been very slow on the composition front, but a few things should be completed soon, with the same commitment to forward thinking.
